1. Who we are
The hubcst.ca website is operated by the HUB team and presents the Computer Science program (420.B0) along with its activities. This policy describes what personal information the site collects and how it is handled, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
2. Data we collect
This site collects the bare minimum needed to operate:
- Anonymous traffic statistics — We use PostHog in cookieless mode. Pageviews are recorded without a persistent identifier, without IP address, and without geolocation. No user profile is built, and no cookie is placed on your device.
- Contact form — If you choose to write to us through the contact form, the information you enter (name, email, message) is sent to us by email and retained only as long as needed to answer your request.
- Server access logs — Like most websites, our host keeps short-lived technical logs for security and diagnostics. These logs are not used for analytics.
3. Purposes
The information we collect is used only to: (1) measure anonymous site traffic in order to improve content, (2) respond to inquiries you send us, and (3) keep the site secure and operational. No data is sold, rented, or shared for advertising or commercial purposes.
4. Cookies
This site does not place any cookies on your device. Our analytics run in memory only and are cleared as soon as you leave the page — there are no preferences for you to manage.
5. Your rights
Under Law 25, you have the right to access any personal information we hold about you, to request corrections or deletion, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Because we don't build user profiles and don't store identifiable analytics, these rights mainly apply to any correspondence you've sent us.
6. Contact us
