Student Life

The fun doesn't stop at the classroom

Here, computer science isn't just about the classroom. Competitions, hackathons, international trips, team building activities, and entrepreneurial projects — every semester is an adventure. We learn by doing, collaborating, and most importantly — having fun.

Our Activities

What we do outside the classroom

Startup Track
Throughout the program

Entrepreneurship

Startup Track

A complete track built into the program: from idea to pre-launch. Students discover a real problem, prototype a solution, then present it to the industry. Networking, mentorship, and conferences are all part of the journey.

The Lion's Eye
Every semester

Entrepreneurial competition

The Lion's Eye

Inspired by Dragons' Den, students pitch their project ideas to a panel of industry professionals. No funding at stake — here, it's the strength of the idea and the quality of the presentation that matter.

Capture The Flag
Several times a year

Cybersecurity competition

Capture The Flag

Competitions where students play the role of 'ethical hackers': they solve cybersecurity puzzles, decode hidden messages, and find vulnerabilities — all as a team and against other colleges.

Game Jam
Twice a year

Video game competition

Game Jam

48 hours to create a complete video game as a team — from concept to playable product. It's like a creative marathon: design, programming, art, and music. An intense experience competing against other colleges!

The HUB
Ongoing

Innovation space

The HUB

The heart of the program: a dedicated innovation space where students work on real projects for real clients, receive mentorship, and attend talks from industry professionals.

OSEntreprendre Challenge
Once a year

Entrepreneurial Competition

OSEntreprendre Challenge

A provincial competition where students present their entrepreneurial projects. The chance to compete with the best and showcase innovative ideas across Quebec.

Startup Fest
Once a year

Entrepreneurial Event

Startup Fest

Students attend Canada's largest startup festival. An immersion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem: inspiring talks, networking with founders, and discovering the latest innovation trends.

International Trips
Once a year

Discovery & Openness

International Trips

International trips to discover how technology is experienced elsewhere. An experience that broadens horizons, creates unforgettable memories, and strengthens bonds between students.

Escape Room
Once a year

Tech escape game

Escape Room

Escape rooms designed by and for students, where you solve tech puzzles to break free. Logic, creativity, and teamwork — an activity that's anything but ordinary!

Team Building Activities
Every semester

Team building

Team Building Activities

Curling, LAN parties, group outings, cohort dinners — a variety of activities to build connections from day one. Here, we build a community before we build code.

Board Games
Regularly

Social activity

Board Games

Board game nights with fellow students — a classic way to unplug from screens, socialize, and sharpen your strategic thinking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Testimonials

They lived it

"Interested in technology and science, I hesitated between several programs and CEGEPs before making my decision. I finally chose this one after a visit that simply blew me away. From this unique program, I take away incredible experiences, unforgettable friendships, participation in countless competitions and formative events, and above all a set of skills that will stay with me for life. The teachers all have a special connection with their students that you won't find anywhere else. If you're hesitating, I have only one piece of advice: go for it!"

"If I had to start my college studies over, I'd make the same choice without hesitation! Not fitting the computer science stereotype, on my first day I wasn't sure I belonged — but I quickly realized I was wrong. The teachers are close to the students, quickly building chemistry across the whole group. They offer concrete, stimulating projects that push us to surpass ourselves and develop our autonomy. I'm coming out confident about the job market, and attached to remarkable memories and friends. Forget the stereotypes, you might be missing the chance of a lifetime!"
